I never thought I would be an undesirable renter.
I recently participated in an open house for Grace EPC that Family Promise of Lawrence hosted at the day house one beautiful Monday morning.
I had a patient, age 93, tell me “Wouldn’t it be sad if all you were known for was living a long time?”
How many of us or people we know and love have operated near the edge for months or years or lifetimes.
If you are reading this blog it can only be because you believe in Lawrence Family Promise and the impact it is having on the lives of children and families in our community.
The day house is very quiet as I write this note on Friday afternoon. This week 6 of the children in the program went back to school
I have a few reflections about an amazing day at LFP. I actually have been rather quiet all day, not because there are not stories to tell, but because I am simply overwhelmed – in awe of God’s work.
The teen service week can be described in many ways but quiet was rarely one of them. Yet throughout the week I was blessed to catch glimpses of God
One day a couple of weeks ago I was browsing through my emails, clicked to open one from Family Promise and read a plea for help in hosting for overnights at one of our host churches.
