2017 was another year of precious families with heroic stories as well as generous community support of the work at Family Promise of Lawrence. Since we opened our affiliate in Lawrence, in 2008, we have learned much from the families seeking services.
Identifying the things to be grateful for is an especially powerful source of encouragement. It seems in our current culture of distrust and divide, that the heart of gratitude is often difficult to cultivate.

Sunflowers have started to bloom and in my yard again; I think that the blooms turn toward the sun. These massive blossoms turn their beautiful faces toward the warm welcoming Kansas sun.
