This week will be one of the most exciting weeks we can have in Family Promise. Two of the current families are moving on from the program.
Did you know the Family Promise day center at one time was a thrift store operated by Plymouth Church, one of our host churches? As a child I remember holding my mother’s hand as she pulled me between the racks of clothing.
I know there are some people that stereotype the word homeless. Homeless just isn’t that person standing on the corner or living under a bridge. Look at the person sitting next to you. Look at that family in the grocery store.
Our middle son, a 6 year old, lost his first tooth and received a dollar bill. As I was tucking him in that night, he was thinking about that dollar….
