In his years of connection with Family Promise, Eugene Cowper has seen what it is like to be on both sides of the field in the situation of homelessness. When his wife first introduced him to Family Promise, he thought it was a place that was there to help those in need of shelter. But after meeting everyone that was involved with Family Promise, along with the many volunteers that help strengthen the organization, he quickly realized that Family Promise was there for more than shelter. They were there to uplift spirits and provide hope and, most importantly, keep families together.
For Eugene, Family Promise went beyond keeping his family together. He is happy to be part of the staff, and to be a positive addition to Family Promise and all the people it supports.
