Mikayla was born and raised in Lawrence, Kansas. Her passion for this line of work stems from a deep love of learning about others and helping individuals find ways to overcome challenges. She strives not only to support others but also to empower, motivate, and advocate for them.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas, and has gained experience in nonprofit work throughout the Lawrence community prior to joining Family Promise. Outside of work, Mikayla enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and two fur babies. She also loves long-distance running, gardening, and hiking.
