Peer Advocates – Possibly Our Best Idea Yet!

This fall we opened up a new role at FPL, which we call, Peer Advocates. It is something that has always happened organically at the Day Center. Graduates are always in and out of the Day Center, visiting, having some coffee, encouraging the current families enrolled in programming. So we decided to formalize it!

We have started the role with 3 graduates of the FPL programs, Crystal Hays, Sarah Hoffman and Eugene Cowper.  They are each on staff, part time, and their role is to help the current families in active programming with intake, paperwork, supports, advice, details and most importantly, encouragement.  We hope to expand the hours available in 2019!  Please join us in welcoming Crystal, Sarah and Eugene in their new role at Family Promise.  We are thankful!
